The Los Angeles County eviction protection extension for pandemic-impacted tenants has been reinstated until the end of the year. Under these rules, protection against renters remains in place from April 1, 2022 until at least 2023. This includes protection against “no-fault” evictions and renters who fail to pay their rent.

What Happens Next?
The new changes will begin to gradually shift in phases. Starting on June 1st, this protection will only apply to renters that earn below 80% of the area’s median income.
